Security Measures
- Routine can be very dangerous or
fatal.
- Only by being aware of potential
dangers before and during each journey in your armored car, can
you reduce the latent risks.
- Always carries enough fuel, so that
you do not have to stop at unsecured places to refuel.
- Before entering your armored car,
carefully observe the surroundings to make sure that there is no
danger.
- Always be aware, that your armored
car drives differently and reacts slower than a normal
non-armored car.
- Due to the extra weight of the armor
the centre of gravity of your armored car is higher than a
standard car.
- Due to the extra weight of the armor
the breaking distance of your armored car is longer than that of
a standard car.
- Learn the driving and braking
characteristics and dynamics of your Alpha Armoring armored car
until you are completely confident in the way the car handles in
all situations.
- While driving your armored car be
extremely observant at all times. Be careful and anticipate any
foreseeable threat scenario.
- Immediately lock the car with the
central locking system before starting your journey.
In traffic not only pay attention to the vehicle driving
directly in front of you, but also observe vehicles further
ahead, travelling behind and on either side.
- Observe persons, parked cars,
objects, and buildings on the side of the street and in your
immediate vicinity.
- When stopping in traffic or at road
signals, always allow enough space between the car in front and
your vehicle to allow you to drive away. You must not get
blocked in. This safe distance should also not be too great to
allow a vehicle to pull in front of your vehicle.
When driving in a convoy make sure that the escort vehicles in
front and behind you stay close.
- Too much distance will enable other
vehicles to get between you and the escort or push you away.
- Should any of the vehicles in front
of you reduce its speed or should their brake lights come on,
immediately reduce your speed accordingly and be prepared to
brake.
- Always drive as far away from the
side of the road as possible. Keep as much distance as possible
from parked cars and other potential threats on each side of the
road.
- Should you recognize anything
unusual at designated parking position, drive on and carefully
check whether stopping is possible without taking risks.
- Before leaving your armored car,
observe the surroundings and only allow your passengers to exit
the armored car when you have made sure, that there is no
danger.
- Only open the windows if absolutely
necessary.
- Only park your armored car in a
place where you are not obstructed and that enables you to drive
away freely.
- Never park your armored car
unattended. This is the only way to ensure, that bombs,
tracking devices, etc., can be fitted and or attached to you
armored car.
